Amanda first discovered yoga back in 1999, shortly after moving to Vancouver. As a self-declared “serial hobbiest” Amanda is always trying new things, but over the years, she repeatedly found herself coming back to yoga, until eventually it just stuck.
When Amanda started her yoga teacher training, she wasn’t really sure she wanted to be a yoga teacher. Amanda wanted to learn and understand the asana, the history and the philosophies and apply her background in kinesiology to grow her own practice. But the more she learned, the more she wanted to share yoga with the people around her and soon began teaching in her community.
Amanda continued her teacher training with Rainbow Kids and with Yin master, Bernie Clark. Amanda’s classes are aimed at anyone who wants to get on a mat and maybe a few or you who aren't quite sure. Educational, challenging and fun. Learn a pose and maybe learn bit about yourself at the same time. Yoga provides physical, mental and spiritual benefits but Amanda encourages all students to take what resonates with them and leave what doesn't. Strengthen, lengthen, stretch, grow, balance, laugh, find peace.
