The Yoga Buggy is seeking Board Members!
Yoga Buggy is an amazing local non-profit that has grown from a dedicated and enthusiastic founder with a vision to a team of 15+ teachers. Our goal is to bring yoga to as many kids as possible. We teach classes in schools, community centres, neighbourhood houses, out of school care programs – anywhere there are kids who might want to do yoga. We operate primarily on grant funding and sliding scale prices. We provide quality yoga programming with qualified teachers. As with any non-profit, ongoing funding is challenging and as yoga teachers we are generally not experts in policy, business, finance etc. which is where your experience and expertise are so valuable.
Board responsibilities include:
Meeting 2 to 4 times a year
Making sure that we are spending wisely
Contribute your thoughts/insight to our decisions:
- Knowledge of the community
- Commitment to the Association’s mission and strategic directions
- A commitment of time
- Openness to learning
