Jess
I’m a warm-hearted, kind, and passionate yoga teacher who loves spending time with children. In addition to teaching kids yoga, I also work as a mentor at nature and art camps, where I combine my love for the outdoors with my commitment to fostering creativity and growth in kids. I’m a strong advocate for child-honoring, a philosophy that believes healing communities and restoring ecosystems starts with how we treat and nurture our children. This belief shapes my approach to teaching and interactions, and I strive to create an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity.
As a teacher, I am committed to decolonization and inclusion, and I actively work to uncover my own unconscious biases to better serve all of my students. I create a welcoming and safe space for children, including those who identify as LGBTQ2S+, where they can feel seen, valued, and respected. My yoga classes are fun, dynamic, and accessible to everyone, with a focus on movement, mindfulness, and breathwork.
I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and since becoming a mother in 2012, my yoga practice has deepened and evolved to incorporate more playfulness and creativity. I believe that mindfulness, breathwork, and yoga are essential tools for kids as they navigate the challenges of growing up, and I’m passionate about helping them develop resilience, self-awareness, and emotional well-being.
