Ready to spread the yoga love? Join the team as a Yoga Buggy teacher!
The Yoga Buggy is currently looking for kids yoga teachers who are available to teach classes in person. Most classes take place weekdays between 2:30 and 5:30 PM.
The Yoga Buggy is a non-profit organization that serves the Greater Vancouver Area and beyond. We bring yoga to children/youth/families who don't otherwise have access. We teach in schools, Neighbourhood Houses and other community spaces as well as occasionally online using Zoom.
We are seeking fun, patient, reliable teachers who are based in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Langley, Delta or Maple Ridge.
Our standard lead teaching rate is $45 per hour, with an additional $15 bonus paid per location to help offset planning time, optional materials and transporting yoga mats (mats are supplied by us, but some gigs require teachers to bring them to the venue). The pay rate for Assistant Teachers is $25/hour - no planning required.
Required qualifications for a lead teacher:
200 hour YTT;
Kids' Yoga Teacher Training
Trauma-informed yoga training or experience
Yoga teaching experience;
Classroom management experience;
Experience working with/connecting to kids;
Values open communication & collaboration;
Looking to be an active member of a dynamic team;
Willingness to undergo a reference check and a criminal record check
Reliable transportation (transit counts!)
An interest in other specialized training and experience (special needs, families, teens, BIPOC, LGBTQS2, etc.)
Desired qualifications for an Assistant Teacher:
