Amanda has been a teacher with the Yoga Buggy for 18 months.   For half that, she has added invaluable skills to the company by running our HR Department.

You should meet her!!  Amanda is a great mixture of hilarious, genuine and hardworking.  Her classes reflect her approach to life:  a combination of serious asana with a whole lot of playful fun.  When you finish a yoga class with Amanda, you feel like a new person.

Amanda winters in Whistler teaching skiing.  In the summer months she is in Vancouver.  Regardless of the season, when you spend time with her, you can guarantee many laughs and home baked goods.  Check out this talent!

Amanda kindly answered a few questions for the Yoga Buggy Media team.

YBMT:  Your yoga students love you Amanda!  What are the ingredients in your special teaching sauce?

I’m just out there having fun and being me, a dash of fun, a sprinkle of laughter, relaxed, calm, genuine :)

YBMT:  What led you to teaching yoga?

Things just kinda worked out...I started my teacher training to increase my own knowledge and then decided, well, might as well try teaching.  I love yoga, so why not share it?  Teaching kids was the next natural step for me.

YBMT:  What recommendations do you have for new or aspiring yoga teachers?

Practice on your friends or look for shadowing or volunteer opportunities to gain experience. Don’t try to be anything but yourself when teaching. Use what you’ve learned from your training and from your favorite teachers but make it your own.

In conclusion:  If you want a terrific yoga experience with a talented and lighthearted teacher, we recommend checking out Amanda’s classes
